MEMBERSHIP.

BACK9ERS has a simple philosophy...competitive golf that is fun, friendly and affordable.
We organise monthly golf events for our members, focusing on the social side as well as the golf, and also keep their (unofficial) handicaps up to date. Our aim is to have as much fun as possible!

There is an initial sign up fee. This is to cover the cost of your Polo Golf Shirt with the Back9ers Logo on it, and other administrative charges that we have to cover.

Membership and New Players.
1. All new players must play with introducing member on their first and second matches. After that it should not be expected, nor will it be guaranteed, that a guest will be playing with their introducing member.
2. A player must play 2 times as a guest before they will be invited to join as a member.
3. Membership cost. This initial cost will include a Society Golf Shirt which must be worn at all society functions.

4. A new member cannot win the main prizes in any competition in their first game. They are paying purely as a guest and can only participate in the minor prizes i.e. nearest the pin, longest drive, hole in one, 2 club prize etc.
Payments
1. If a player has not paid by the payment date indicated on the notice for an event, then they are deemed not to be playing and a place will not be allocated to them for the event.
2. If a player commits to an event and pays, but is then a no-show or drops out last minute, you will be liable to pay the full amount owed as it is not guaranteed that late changes can be made with the playing golf club.
